Understanding Your Destiny (Life Path) Number

Of all the numbers calculated in a numerology reading, the Destiny Number — sometimes called the Life Path Number — tends to draw the most attention, and for good reason. It is derived from your complete date of birth and is considered a broad indicator of the lessons, opportunities, and overall direction your life is oriented towards.

Unlike your Name Number, which can shift if your name or its spelling changes, your Destiny Number is fixed from birth. That permanence is part of why it is treated as a foundational reference point in any consultation — the lens through which other numbers, including your Name and Personal Year numbers, are interpreted.

It's worth being clear about what a Destiny Number is not: it is not a fixed prophecy, and it does not remove your agency.
